WILKE No. 515 Double Shot*

*No. 515 Double Shot has the same components that the original No. 515 does with a stronger rum presence.

The lightly spicy, richly sweet, slightly floral Jamaican rum topping is the star attraction. No. 515 Double Shot sports a double dose of rum to distinguish it from the original No. 515, which is the version that was actor Basil Rathbone’s blend of choice. The flue cured Virginia is hay-like, grassy, floral and lightly tart and tangy citrusy with a touch of tangy dark fruit.

WILKE No. 515 Double Shot

  •

The lightly spicy, richly sweet, slightly floral Jamaican rum topping is the star attraction. No. 515 Double Shot sports a double dose of rum to distinguish it from the original No. 515, which is the version that was actor Basil Rathbone’s blend of choice. The flue cured Virginia is hay-like, grassy, floral and lightly tart and tangy citrusy with a touch of tangy dark fruit. It takes a bare lead over the sugary, vanilla-ish black cavendish. Both varietals are in the background due to the extra rum. The strength is in the center of mild to medium. The taste is a couple of steps past that mark. Has a very mild nic-hit. There’s no chance of bite or harshness, and it has no rough edges. It burns cool and clean at a slightly slow rate with a very consistent sweet flavor that extends to the mildly lingering, pleasant after taste. The room note is very pleasant. Leaves little dampness in the bowl, and requires a couple more than an average number of relights. An all day smoke.
